American Dance Festival (ADF) (Durham) - Dedicated to nurturing and sustaining modern dance, the world renowned ADF provides summer performances and professional training programs, and is involved in various community educational programs and projects.
Brevard Music Center (Brevard) - This is a non-profit, summer music institute and festival in the western North Carolina mountains. In the summer season, there are over 80 performances.

The Lost Colony (Manteo) - This widely acclaimed show, written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Paul Green, has been playing at Fort Raleigh National Historic Site since 1937. It is the story of one of our nation’s most intriguing mysteries - the vanishing of 117 men, women and children from the 1587 settlement on Roanoke Island. The drama includes music, dance, action, and special effects.
