North Carolina Film Office (Raleigh) The N.C. Film Office, founded in 1980, is a state agency and member of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI). It promotes North Carolina as a location for television, motion picture, and advertising productions. It works with other state agencies and the following 6 regional film commissions to assist filmmakers with location packages, scouting assis-tance and permitting guidance.
Charlotte Regional Film Commission (Charlotte) - Covers 16 counties in North and South Carolina with Charlotte as its hub.
Durham Film Commission (Durham) - Covers the Durham area near Chapel Hill and Raleigh.
Eastern North Carolina Film Commission(Greenville) - Covers 13 counties in Eastern N.C. including the cities of Greenville and Jacksonville.
Piedmont Triad Film Commission (Greensboro) - Covers 12 counties in the Triad area including the cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point.
Western North Carolina Film Commission(Fletcher) - Covers 23 western counties including the cities of Asheville and Boone.
