Arts North Carolina - Arts North Carolina is North Carolina's statewide advocacy organization for the arts. It is also a membership network for N.C. individuals and organizations, and provides many arts-related resources.
HandMade in America - Based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, Hand-Made in America focuses on providing business and financial support for craftspeople, and nurturing the region's craft culture through public relations & edu-cation. It has an artist registry and events calendar.
HomegrownHandmade - This is a project of the North Carolina Arts Council and the North Carolina Cooperative Extension. Homegrown-Handmade fosters an alliance between N.C. arts and agriculture. It has organized a unique series of Agri-Cultural Trails from the foothills to the coast. The site has a list of galleries on the trails.
North Carolina Arts Council - The mission of the Arts Council is to make North Carolina a better state through the arts. It provides technical assis-tance, resources, & over 1000 grants each year to non-profit organizations and artists. It serves as the steward of state and federal arts' funds. You can search for artists (by art forms or location), arts organizations, and local arts councils.
N. C. Department of Cultural Resources - This is the state umbrella agency for North Carolina arts, culture, history, libraries, & research. It helps promote these resources. It includes the North Carolina Art Museum and Museum of History.
